A Brief History

Erection of the Diocese

The Diocese of Patna was carved out of the Diocese of Allahabad.

1921

1999

Elevated to Archdiocese

Pope John Paul II elevated Patna to a Metropolitan Archdiocese.

2021

Cenetenary Celebration

Marking 100 years of faith, unity, and service in the region.
